An apparatus for searching recorded data in a broadcasting recording system is provided to create a list by comparing transport stream information of recorded transport stream data with keywords corresponding to an event a user searches and to extract and reproduce the corresponding transport stream data according to a selection from the created list, thereby promptly searching data a user wants. A coding module(181) codes at least one or more keywords for searching a specific event among TS(Transport Stream) data recorded in a storing medium. A TS information detecting module(182) extracts TS information from the recorded TS data. A comparison module(183) compares the coded keyword with the extracted TS information, and extracts TS information which is identical to the coded keyword. A list creating module(184) creates a list corresponding to the specific event on the basis of the extracted TS information.
