2,3-Dihydro-6-nitroimidazo[2,l-b]oxazoles represented by the general formula (1): (1) (H) [wherein Ris hydrogen or Calkyl; n is an integer of 0 to 6; and Ris -ORor the like (wherein Ris hydrogen,Сalkyl, or the like), or Rand -(CH)Rmay be united via a nitrogen atom to form together with the adjacent carbon atom a spiro ring represented by the general formula (H) (wherein Ris hydrogen, Calkyl, or the like)]. The compounds exhibit excellent bactericidal activity against tubercle bacillus, multiple drug resistant tubercle bacillus, and atypical acid-fast bacteria.(1)(Н)
