ARTIFICIAL TRANSPARENCY MARBLE CHIP AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME

A transparent chip for an artificial marble, a method for preparing the chip, and an artificial marble using the chip are provided to reduce the content of an inorganic filler, thereby improving transparency. A transparent chip for an artificial marble is prepared by curing 100 parts by weight of a resin syrup which comprises 70-90 wt% of a brominated epoxy acrylate or its oligomer, 7-20 wt% of styrene and 3-10 wt% of methyl methacrylate by using an initiator which comprises di(4-t-butylcyclohexyl)peroxydicarbonate and t-butylperoxy-2-ethyl hexanoate in a ratio of 1:1 by weight; and pulverizing the cured one. Preferably the resin syrup has a specific gravity of 1.5-1.7.
