A keypad for a cellular phone and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to reduce a cost by manufacturing the key pad in a low cost screen or jig printing method without requiring a high cost mold. A keypad(A) for a cellular phone includes key button protrusions(3) to operate a plurality of switches arranged on a printed circuit board of the cellular phone. The key button protrusions are formed at a predetermined thickness by being integrated with a back side of a transparent or opaque planar name plate(1) of the key pad or the surface of a display layer printed on the back side of the name plate of the key pad through screen printing or jig printing. The key pad further includes a protection window which is integrally extended from one side of the name plate of the key pad to cover and protect a liquid crystal screen of the cellular phone.
