A multi-type air conditioner is provided to enable one distributor to be connected to a plurality of indoor units in various ways through a variable capacity pipe, thereby improving heat transfer performance by allowing refrigerant discharged from a plurality of indoor sockets to flow into one indoor unit. A multi-type air conditioner comprises one or more outdoor units, two or more indoor units performing heat transfer between indoor air and refrigerant, and a distributor(300) installed between the indoor unit and outdoor unit to control refrigerant flow. The distributor comprises a plurality of indoor sockets guiding refrigerant flow between the distributor and indoor unit, and a variable capacity pipe(380) making two or more indoor sockets connected to one indoor unit.
