A system and a method for guiding a subway operation time in a mobile communication terminal are provided to offer subway departure/arrival time information such as destination arrival time corresponding to the shortest path of a subway while including a standby time of a transfer station, thereby enabling a terminal user to confirm subway riding time or destination arrival time. A subway operation time guide system of a mobile communication terminal comprises a web server(110), a member information managing unit(121), a subway operation time information providing unit(122), a shortest path searching and destination arrival time calculating unit(124), a subway line information providing unit(123), a charge processing unit(127) and a database(130). The shortest path searching and destination arrival time calculating unit receives information about a subway departure station, a destination station and a departure time that a user wants from the mobile communication terminal. The shortest path searching and destination arrival time calculating unit arranges subway data in an adjacency matrix, and calculates the shortest path from the departure station to the destination station by referring to a subway operation time by a Dijkstra algorithm. The shortest path searching and destination arrival time calculating unit divides the shortest path based on a transfer station, calculates a destination arrival time including transfer standby time by a transfer station, and transmits the calculated shortest path information and destination arrival time information to the mobile communication terminal.
