DISPLAY PANEL AND DIPLAY APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME

A display panel and a display apparatus having the same are provided to improve the transmittance and resolution of a reflection mode and consequently to obtain the high display quality by cutting the light of the lower part and using the external light. An array layer(120) is formed at the color pixels including a reflection area(RFA) and a transmission area(TA). A color photoresist pattern is formed by stacking at least two color-photo layers on the array layer of the reflection area. Color filters(RCF) are formed on the array layer of the transmission area. A reflection electrode(RFE) is formed on the color photoresist pattern. A liquid crystal layer is formed by coupling with a TFT(Thin Film Transistor) substrate. The common electrode is formed on the facing substrate. The first cell gap of the liquid crystal layer of the reflection area is lower than the second cell gap of the liquid crystal layer of the transmission area.
