A fire escape apparatus for a building is provided to enable people to escape from the inside of a high building to the ground promptly and safely when fire occurs in the high building. A fire escape apparatus for a building includes a main transfer portion(120), a horizontal transfer portion(130), a riding portion(110), a vertical transfer portion(140), and a pivoting portion(150). The main transfer portion is installed in a horizontal direction of the outer wall surface of a building. A center guide rail(121) is formed in the horizontal direction of the main transfer portion. The horizontal transfer portion is pivotally coupled to one end of the main transfer portion. A side guide rail(131) is installed in the horizontal transfer portion. The riding portion is coupled to move along the center guide rail and the side guide rail.
