A tapping hole opening apparatus of an electric furnace is provided to open a tapping hole easily and safely, and obtain excellent safety and workability by mechanizing and automating a tapping hole-opening operation. A tapping hole opening apparatus of an electric furnace comprises: a horizontal rotary drive part(60) mounted on a jib frame on a top part of an electric furnace for melting iron scrap to manufacture molten steel(2); a frame(66) which is rotatably connected to the horizontal rotary drive part in the horizontal direction, and extends toward a circumference of the electric furnace; a vertical transfer drive part(70) mounted on an end of the frame; and an oxygen ejecting part(80) vertically movably connected to the vertical transfer drive part, wherein in order to perform a tapping hole-opening operation, the horizontal rotary drive part rotates the frame horizontally such that the oxygen ejecting part is positioned above an opening(18) formed in an upper part of a tapping part(14) of the electric furnace, and the vertical transfer drive part inserts a portion of the oxygen ejecting part into the tapping part through the opening formed in the upper part of the tapping part. |
