An emergency drive apparatus for a wheel loader using a steering device is provided to move the wheel loader forwards and backwards by locking wheels which are located in a diagonal line alternately, and rotating a steering wheel right and left. An emergency drive apparatus for a wheel loader using a steering device comprises a front member, a rear member, a wrist pin joint, a pair of steering cylinders(33), a brake oil supply circuit(61), a brake valve(43), and a control unit(41). The front member has front wheels with brakes. The rear member has rear wheels with brakes, a cabin, and an engine. The wrist pin joint connects the front member with the rear member. The steering cylinders are connected with the front member and the rear member, with being installed around the wrist pin joint. Each brake(42), installed to the front and rear wheels, operates independently and selectively. The brake oil supply circuit causes the front right and back left brakes, and the front left and back right brakes to lock and release as a group. The brake valve switches direction of the brake oil supplied to the brake oil supply circuit. The control unit commands direction switch of the brake valve when external signals are applied, and simultaneously commands a steering control valve(70) to switch to one direction. The external signal is right and left signals for a steering wheel(32). |
