Odourant compounds selected from compounds having the structure: wherein, R¹ and R² may be independently hydrogen or methyl, and n is an integer 1, 2 or 3 provided that n+ the carbon atoms in R¹ and R² is less than 5, their preparation and their use in fine fragrances and perfume components, wherein the compounds provide a musk characteristic.
