<p>The inventive orthesis comprises leg and foot parts. The leg part (10) upwardly extending away from the ankle applies a therapeutic retention pressure on the leg when the orthesis is drawn on. The foot part extending away from an ankle bone (14) to toes (16) and covering the instep (18) is embodied in the form of a foot elastically enveloping part. The size and structure of the foot part mesh are such that, when the orthesis is drawn on, it is equal to: (i) 0 < Px < P m < Pb et (ii) Pm < 36 mmHg, wherein Px is the pressure applied to the instep, Pm is a pressure applied to the malleoli and Pb is a therapeutic retention pressure applied to the ankle. In the preferred embodiment, Px = 5 mmHg ± 25 %, and Pm = 0,5.(Pb + Px) ± 25 %.</p> |
