A mobile terminal and a method for controlling Tx power are provided to lower the possibility of communication disconnection in a situation that a wireless communication environment is easy to change. A mobile terminal comprises a Tx power control part(106), a target value updating part(107), and a measurement control part(105). The Tx power control part measures the SIR(Signal to Interference Power ration) of an Rx signal, received from a base station, compares the measured SIR with the target value of the SIR, and controls the Tx power of the base station according to a comparison result. The target value updating part measures the BLER(Block Error Rate) of the Rx signal and updates the target value according to the measured BLER. The measurement control part acquires the moving state of the mobile terminal, and controls the measurement interval length of the BLER and the update cycle of the target value on the basis of the acquired moving state. |
