A water gate for preventing breakdown by impediment is provided to prevent a water gate from opening due to breakdown of a cylinder unit by keeping the water gate locked with a safety lock. A water gate for preventing breakdown by impediment comprises a pair of housings, a water gate(20), a water gate lever(30), a foldable link(40), a cylinder unit(50), and a safety unit including a safety lock. The housings are separated from each other. The water gate is installed between the housings, and provided with rotating shaft(21) passing through the housing. The water gate lever is hinged at the rotating shaft, connected with the foldable link, and provided with a communication protrusion for communicating with the foldable link. The foldable link pivots at a rotation supporting piece(32) of the water gate lever. The cylinder unit connects the bottom of the housing with the foldable link. When the water gate is closed the safety lock sustains protrusions attached at two ends of the water gate, wherein the protrusion moves along a guide groove of the housing. |
