A charging apparatus, a charging method of a robot, and a charging system using the same are provided to prevent undesired power from being supplied to the robot by selectively charging a battery. A charging apparatus(100) detects the contact of a target to be charged and selectively supplies power to the target according to a charge request signal output from the target. The charging apparatus includes a contact detector(110), a power supply part(120), a power supply terminal(130), and a charge determining part(140). The contact detector detects electrical and mechanical contact with the target. The power supply part transforms commercial power into charge power. The power supply terminal supplies the charge power to the target. The charge determining part selectively supplies the charge power according to the charge request signal.
