METHOD FOR REDUCING NOISE AND IMAGE DISPLAY APPARATUS USING THE SAME

A method of removing noise and an image display apparatus using the same are provided to increase noise attenuation effect in an image processing procedure by reducing the amount of amplified noise. A method of removing noise includes: judging whether a received broadcasting signal is a weak electric field signal or not by an LNA(Low Noise Amplifier)(S210); amplifying the broadcasting signal by the LNA when it is judged as the weak electric field signal because the signal-to-noise ratio is not good(S220); judging whether noise is sensed in a broadcasting signal by an image improving unit included in an image processor(S230); and performing automatic gain control of an automatic gain controller according to sensed noise amount when the noise is sensed(S240).
