A damper is provided to allow a door to be quickly opened and closed while minimizing collision energy when the door is opened and closed. A damper comprises a cylinder(10) formed with a through hole(11) at one end thereof and filled with fluid, and a rod(20). The cylinder has an opening sealed by a cover(12). The rod has one end exposed to an exterior by passing through the through hole and the other end provided in the cylinder. A fluid resistance member(30) is coupled with the other end of the rod and has a fluid passage(31) through which the rod gradually appears by controlling the flow of the fluid. The inner peripheral surface of the cylinder includes a small diameter section(13) being in close contact with the outer peripheral surface of the fluid resistance member, and a large diameter section(14) having a diameter greater than that of the outer peripheral surface of the fluid resistance member.
