A controlled-release microbial agent for controlling a club root disease is provided to show continuous controlling effect by gradually releasing antagonistic bacteria of the club root disease, be harmless to human bodies and have a controlling value equal to a conventional chemical pesticide. A controlled-release microbial agent for controlling soil-contaminated diseases is characterized in that Bacillus subtilis, which is an antagonistic bacteria of a club root disease, is absorbed into a carrier by a biodegradable adhesive of gelatine and is gradually released into soil, wherein the Bacillus subtilis is Bacillus subtilis KB-291(deposition no. KFCC 11324) and the carrier is at least one selected from the group consisting of zeolite, elvan, vermiculite, sand and active carbon. Further, the zeolite is firing zeolite which has 0.5 to 1.0 mm of diameter.
