<p>An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device and a method for fabricating the same are provided to reduce the manufacturing cost by simplifying a process, and to obtain the high image quality by choosing an etch-stopper structure, and consequently to improve the reliability. A first substrate is divided into a pixel part, a first pad part and a second pad part. A gate electrode(121) and gate lines(116, 116') are formed at the pixel part of the first substrate. An active pattern(124) is formed on the upper part of the gate electrode by one photo-mask process. An etch-stopper(155) is formed at the upper part of the channel of the active pattern. A gate insulation layer is patterned for having the same type of active pattern, and is located between the gate electrode and active pattern. A source electrode(122) and a drain electrode(123) are formed by one photo-mask process to connect electrically with the source area and the drain area of the active pattern. The passivation layer is formed on the source electrode. A pixel electrode(118) connects with the drain electrode electrically.</p> |
