A solenoid valve is provided to attenuate magnetic force applied to a plunger and a hollow housing by reducing frictional resistance applied to a rod of the plunger. A solenoid valve comprises a main housing(52) having a solenoid(54) therein, an insulative mold cover(56) for covering the solenoid, a plunger(60) equipped with a rod(62), and a plunger housing(64) supporting the plunger while surrounding the plunger. The plunger is moved by electromagnetic force of the solenoid. A hollow housing(70) is coupled to the main housing while facing the main housing and a spool(72) moved by the rod of the plunger is accommodated in the hollow housing. The spool is elastically supported by an elastic member(74). A non-magnetic spacer(80) is provided to prevent the plunger from adhering to the hollow housing. |
