A backlight unit is provided to locate a main PCB(Printed Circuit Board) with the decreased area to the rear of a bottom case, thereby reducing an area occupied by the main PCB. A main PCB is located at the rear of a bottom case and includes the first lamp driving member. The first lamp driving member generates the driving voltage for driving plural lamps. The first and second sub PCBs(125a,125b) are respectively located at the opposite edges within the bottom case, support both ends of the lamps and are connected with each other electrically. Plural second lamp driving members(140) are located at the first and second sub PCBs and generate the driving voltage to the ends corresponding to the lamps by the driving voltage from the main PCB. Plural second lamp driving members include transformers, respectively. Plural patterns are formed on the first and second substrates so that the plural second lamp driving members are connected electrically. |
