A pod propulsion system having hydroplanes for a submarine is provided to improve functions of a horizontal rudder to enable submarine voyage and effective depth adjustment. A pod propulsion system having hydroplanes for a submarine includes a vertical rudder, a horizontal rudder, a skeg(20), a generator(1), a propeller(5), and a propeller drive shaft. The pod propulsion system further includes a pod(50). The pod is installed outside a ship body(1-1). The pod is rotatably connected to the propeller drive shaft. The pod is interlocked with a diesel engine to obtain propulsion power due to forward movement of the submarine and vertical rotary power through a second shaft(10). The Pod is installed at a lower part of the skeg projecting from the ship body. |
