FIELD: mechanics, pneumatics. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the designs of vessels operated under pressure and may be used in gas cylinders to store and carry liquefied natural gas used in automobiles and fire-fighting systems. The high-pressure cylinder contains a sealing vessel, i.e. a lining tube with, at least, one neck with a locking device, the cylinder outer surface is made in the form of a strengthening composite shell covering the lining tube. The other neck accommodates a plug incorporating a safety device with a trap for fragments of destructed membrane, the said device being made from a material withstanding the pressures, without destruction, over (2.6+Delta%)P where Delta% is the cylinder destruction specified excess pressure barrier.
