A plasma display apparatus and a device for driving a display apparatus are provided to prevent voltage drop of scan electrodes due to noises and erroneous operation of a controller. A device for driving a display apparatus includes a first switch, a switching controller(412), and a feedback signal generator(414). The first switch supplies a second voltage which is decreased according to elapsed time, to first electrodes. The switching controller switches the first switch corresponding to signal levels of first and second signals. The feedback signal generator compares a third voltage and a fourth voltage in proportion to the second voltage, converts signal level of the second signal according to the comparison result, and supplies the converted signal level to the switching controller. The switching controller includes second and third switches and a first resistor(R1). The second and third switches are connected between first and second voltage sources in parallel. One end of the first resistor is connected to a contact point between the second and third switches and the second voltage source, and the other end thereof is connected to a control electrode of the first switch.
