The system has a circular indexing hole without a port for blocking the translation of a protective bodyside molding. The bodyside molding has an indexing pin (18) to penetrate in the indexing hole, and pins terminated by a circular bulge. The indexing pin has a groove to prevent removal of the indexing pin from the hole. A hook (24) is inserted in the groove through top according to a vertical axis. The bulge does not depart a rectangular port when the indexing pin is locked in the hole by the hook. The molding is flattened on a shell such as external wall, of a door of the motor vehicle.
