The method is realised by the way of preliminary acid hydrolysis of oligosaccharides and consequent definition of the content of monosaccharides. It's characterised by the fact that hydrolysis is realised in the presence of mercurous acetate (II) and definition of contents of monosaccharides is executed by the value of optical density at 238 nm with consideration of absorbing non-carbohydrate components.
