METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR RECOGNIZING PERSON INCLUDED IN DIGITAL DATA BY USING PREVIEW HISTORY

A method and a system for recognizing a person included in digital data by referring to preview history are provided to increase a recognition ratio of a face included in the digital data by obtaining the preview history from the person displayed in a screen of a digital camera based on face detection and tracking techniques before the digital data is generated by pressing a shutter of the digital camera. A contents database(130) stores a reference face image of a plurality of persons. A face detecting unit(110a) and a face tracking unit(110b) obtain one face image as preview history data by extracting one face image of the person while detecting and tracking a face in a preview state of a digital device. A face recognizer(110c) performs a matching process when digital data of the person is generated by operating the digital device. The matching process determines similarity by comparing the face image included in the digital data and the preview history data with the face image stored in the contents database. A preview history database(120) stores the preview history data received from the face detecting and tracking units.
