PURPOSE: A method for servicing a static image in a mobile communication network is provided to shoot image information, e.g. photograph information through a mobile communication terminal attaching or having a built-in image information acquiring unit, and to transmit the shot image information and characters to a remote mobile communication terminal. CONSTITUTION: A terminal shoots a subject through a camera(S500). A controller transmits a shot static image to an image mail server(S502). The image mail server decides whether the transmission and DB registration of static image data are completed(S504). If so, the image mail server transmits a transmission completed confirmation message to the terminal(S506). And a confirmation message representing successful transmission is displayed on a display window of the terminal(S508). The image mail server transmits a message notifying the arrival of the static image to a remote terminal(S510). If a call is requested from the remote terminal(S512), the image mail server inquires the remote terminal of whether to request the static image(S514). If not, the image mail server performs a general call progress(S522), and if the static image is requested from the remote terminal, the image mail server searches the static image data recorded in an image mail DB and draws corresponding static image data from the image mail DB(S516). The drawn static image data are transmitted to the remote terminal(S518). The remote terminal displays the static image data through a display part(S520). And a call between the terminal and the remote terminal is connected(S522). |
