A system and a method for automatically managing sanitation of food based on a ubiquitous sensor network are provided to set temperature and moisture directly or remotely through a sensor node attached to kitchenware and collect and record peripheral environment information of a kitchen in real time. A system for automatically managing sanitation of food based on a ubiquitous sensor network comprises a sensor node(100), a sync node(200), a mobile terminal(300) and a management server(400). The sensor node and the mobile terminal measure and store sensing information including temperature, moisture, pH and smell information at set periods, and compare the measured value with a preset value. If the measured value is deviated from a set range, the sensor node and the mobile terminal generate an alarm message and transmit the alarm message to the management server. The sensor node and the mobile terminal receive control commands of kitchenware and food from the management server. The management server determines whether data received from the sensor node and the mobile terminal is a measured value of the kitchenware and food or the alarm message. If the data is the alarm message, the management server generates a control command corresponding to the data and transmits the control command to the sensor node and the mobile terminal. The management server notifies an alarm situation and kitchenware location to a manager, and produces a database of the received data. Based on the data, the management server performs analysis/storage and output according to an HACCP(Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) format.
