<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing control system suitably preventing print setting from being invalidated while reducing communication data quantity and processing load. <P>SOLUTION: A host terminal 100 is communicably connected with a printer 200. The host terminal 100 inputs print data, separates print job definition data and content data from the input print data, converts the separated print job definition data to a print setting parameter of a predetermined format in which a data arrangement position and a correspondence of data items are preliminarily regulated so that a content of data is arranged without identifiers of items, and transmits the separated content data and the converted print setting parameter to the printer 200. The printer 200 receives the content data and the print setting parameter, stores the received print setting parameter in a storage device 82, converts the received content data to raster data, and outputs the converted raster data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
