<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pixel circuit capable of executing a threshold voltage correcting function quickly within a limited correction period. <P>SOLUTION: A sampling transistor 3A turns on in response to a control signal supplied from a scan line WSL 101 to sample and hold a video signal supplied from a signal line DTL 101 in a holding capacitor 3C. A driving capacitor 3B supplies a driving current to a light emitting element 3D according to the signal potential of the video signal held in the holding capacitor 3C, and then the light emitting element 3D illuminates with luminance corresponding to the video signal. Prior to the sampling of the video signal, an adjustment potential for canceling a threshold voltage of the driving transistor 3B is previously written to the holding capacitor 3C. An auxiliary capacitor 3J for assisting the writing of the adjustment potential is connected between a pair of current ends of the driving transistor 3B. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
