<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery module which can maintain a safety by absorbing an external force added on to a case composing the battery module and protect it against the external force. <P>SOLUTION: The battery module is provided with a case 120 which houses an electrode 110 and of which the upper portion is open, a cap assembly 140 which is arranged on the upper portion of the case and seals the case and a first combining cap 160, 260 arranged on the cap assembly. The first combining cap is provided with a cap base 162, 262 which is fixed on the cap assembly and has at lease one cut-out portion 163, 263 on its outermost circumferential portion and a cover portion 166, 266 which is formed extruding out from the cap base in an opposite direction of the cap assembly and has at least one first exhausting mouth 167, 267. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
