PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grounding structure for a vehicle body, which performs the grounding only by inserting an end of a cylindrical cover for covering the outer periphery of a wire harness in a wire harness insertion hole without grinding off a paint in advance. SOLUTION: Expansion parts 42 to be abutted on and locked to opening edges of wire harness insertion holes 12, 22 formed in a vehicle body 1 and a back door 2, respectively, are provided on both ends of a grommet 4 for covering an outer periphery of a wire harness 3 arranged between the vehicle body 1 and the back door 2. Locking claws 43 to be press-fitted and locked to inner opening edges of the wire harness insertion holes 12, 22 are provided on inner opening edges of the expansion parts 42. Conductive connection parts 6 having a rough surface grinding unit 62b for grinding off a paint coated on the opening edges of the wire harness insertion holes 12, 22 and maintaining the opening edges in an elastically metal-contact state when inserting the locking claws 43, are provided on the inner opening edges of the expansion parts 43, and a grounding conductor wire 5 for connecting the conductive connection parts 6, 6 to each other is attached in the grommet 4.
