[Class 113 (ii)] In a high-speed motor boat having a wood bottom skin the latter extends across the bottom of the keel so that the keel is entirelv enclosed within the boat. The transverse frame members 10 are connected to the keel 11 by biscuits 12.- The bottom is covered by two layers 13, 14, of diagonal planking with an intervening layer of linen or fabric 15. A metal strip 16 is secured along the full length of the bottom of the boat beneath the keel. |
