DATA ACQUISITION AND PROCESSING SYSTEM FOR THE INTEGRATED SAFETY SYSTEM OF AN OBJECT

The inventive data acquisition and processing system for the integrated safety system of an object comprises control computers, computers for automated work stations and servers which are interconnected by the Earthnet computer network. The control computers are provided with multiport devices, the similar ports of which are connected by pairs, through interface converters, to transceiver groups which are connected to said interface converters. The transceivers are connected to peripheral devices by communication lines. The Manchester II code is used for data exchange with the peripheral devices. Single failures of the communication computers, multiport devices, interface converters and of the components the computer network do not disturb the operation of the system. The single failures of the transceivers or the communication lines interrupt the communication with one peripheral device, only. The highly reliable data acquisition and processing system is mainly used in systems consisting of a central station and remote peripheral terminals, including security systems requiring the high reliability of communications channels.
