The control unit has a housing (1) with two connecting openings and a passage (4), which connects both the connecting openings. A drive unit (28) is fixed on the housing of the valve and by which a closing body is movable in multiple positions and is controlled by the control unit assigned to the drive unit. A storage is provided in the control unit, in which the steps of the progress of a teach-in method are stored. A selecting device is provided, by which preset positions of an individual closing body is arbitrarily selected and the teach-in method for the selected position is started.
