An imaging lens (6) is provided with, sequentially from the side where light enters from an object, an aperture diaphragm (1), a first lens (2) of meniscus shape having a positive refractive index and directing the convex surface toward the light entering side of light, and a second lens (3) of nonspherical shape having a positive or negative refractive index and directing the convex surface toward the incident side of light. The imaging lens is arranged, within the range of 70% of image height around the optical axis, such that the incident angle ?in and the exit angle ?out of a main light beam passing through the second lens (3) satisfy a relation of |?out-?in|<5 (degrees). With such an arrangement, an imaging lens (6) having a small overall length of lens and capable of correcting astigmatism is provided.
