摘要 <p>PURPOSE: A reflective liquid crystal display is provided to reduce a response time of liquid crystal by stably securing a micro cell gap required for an LCOS(Liquid Crystal On Silicon), and realize a high contrast ratio by minimizing deviation of the cell gap, thereby easily realizing a projection system using an LCOS panel. CONSTITUTION: A semiconductor lower substrate(6) has a plurality of thin film transistors. A plurality of reflective electrodes(2) are connected with the thin film transistors through connection electrodes for receiving voltage required for controlling liquid crystal. A transparent upper substrate is arranged opposite to the semiconductor lower substrate. A plurality of transparent electrodes(8) are formed on one side of the upper substrate to be combined with the reflective electrodes for constructing pixels. A plurality of micro-pillars(16) are uniformly distributed between the reflective electrodes and the transparent electrodes for controlling a cell gap. A liquid crystal layer(30) is formed between the semiconductor lower substrate and the transparent upper substrate.</p>
