A Korean input system and a method thereof are provided to input letters quickly even without operating input keys many times, by using a number keyboard of a telephone or a remote controller, and to quickly and easily input double vowels or final consonants without standby time. A keypad(10) consists of plural input keys where one Korean vowel or at least more than one of Korean consonants is matched with each number, the first function key for selecting one of the Korean consonants, and the second function key for mutually converting Korean vowels and the Korean consonants. When the input keys are operated, a controller(20) generates letters by selecting one of the vowels or the consonants matched with the input keys, and generates letters by selecting other consonants except basic consonants if the first function key is operated, then generates letters by mutually converting the Korean consonants and the Korean vowels if the second function key is operated. |
