<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sex determination apparatus for baby chicks having improved determination accuracy and a sex determination apparatus program for baby chicks to realize the accurate determination. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for the sex determination of baby chicks has a pretreatment part to perform the pretreatment of an image data, a characteristic value extraction treatment part to extract the characteristic value data based on the pretreated image data, and a determination treatment part to perform the sex determination based on the extracted characteristic value data.
