<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a burden of an eye examined by injection fluid and find an accurate intraocular pressure value irrelevant to the rigidity and the thickness of the cornea. <P>SOLUTION: This noncontact type tonometer is provided with a fluid injection means for injecting compressed fluid toward the cornea, a cornea deformation detection means for optically detecting the deformation state of the cornea, a pressure detection means for detecting the pressure of the compressed fluid, and a computing means for detecting that the cornea becomes a prescribed deformation state by the cornea deformation detection means and finding the intraocular pressure value based on the detection result of the pressure detection means in the detection. This tonometer is further provided with a correction means defining the detection result of the cornea deformation detection means in the prescribed deformation state as a first result, detecting a second deformation state of the cornea relative to a pressure value of the preset pressure fluid in a period from when the cornea becomes the prescribed deformation state to when it is further deformed in the eye inside direction, providing a second result and correcting the intraocular pressure value based on the relation between the first result and the second result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
