<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: authentication accuracy cannot be evaluated in a biological authentication device when a PIN or the like is not used, while when using the PIN or the like, the evaluation can be performed by comparing a biological authentication result on the basis of the result of using the PIN or the like, and when not used, no data can be used for reference. <P>SOLUTION: The result of comparing (including collation or authentication) inputted information (e.g. bioinformation) with template information is recorded as log information, and the input information is analyzed in each the kind based on the log information in each the kind of the inputted information (e.g. information for specifying a template or a user to input it). The analysis includes detecting, the following cases, and outputting an alarm related to the accuracy for the corresponding kind: (1) the when case detecting that a ratio of a negative (collation error) result is a prescribed value or above within a prescribed period, and (2) the case when the negative result is detected within a prescribed time before the comparison result becomes positive. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
