<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide techniques for improving the convenience of a device which performs not only a process responding to a request from an equipment at a remote place but also various processes. <P>SOLUTION: A setup of whether or not to permit a complex machine 101 to perform the process requested for execution by a complex machine 102 or a client PC 103 among one or more processes which can be executed by the complex machine 101 is implemented for each of these one or more processes.
