<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the location of a user even when the user carrying a large luggage passes. <P>SOLUTION: This automatic ticket gate device is provided with a location detection means 20 having a plurality of location detection sensors 21 to 46 arranged with predetermined spacing along the passing direction of a traveler for optically detecting the location of the traveler when two or more adjacent sensors are put in a dark state; a height detection means 50 arranged at height higher than that of the location detection means 20 for detecting the height of the traveler; and a measurement means 87 for defining the location detected by the height detection means 50 as a reference location K, and for setting a point where the reference location K is located in the location detection sensor put in a dark state as a central location (a), and for calculating a rate showing what position the central location (a) is located at when it is viewed from one side with respect to the number of location detection sensors put in the dark state, and for, when the number of location detection sensors put in the dark state is changed based on the movement of the traveler, and for measuring the central location (a) of the moving traveler based on a product calculated by multiplying the number of the location detection sensors by the rate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
