<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission device for converting alternately rotary motion into linearly reciprocating motion, solving the problems that the reciprocating motion should be executed with certain cycle and force and the device adaptable to such requirements is bulky and subject to great friction loss. <P>SOLUTION: The transmission device comprises an alternately rotary element 2, a linearly reciprocating element 3 connected to the rotary element, a first pivot element 4 connected to the linearly reciprocating element and having a first fixed pivot point 5, a second pivot element 6 connected to the first pivot element and having a ball member 7, and a third pivot element 8 connected to the second pivot element and having a second fixed pivot point 9.
