PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide particles for a display medium in which an effect of reducing adhesion strength can be stably obtained by setting the relation between a concavo-convex pattern of the particle surface and a primary particle diameter of minute particles to be deposited on the particle surface, to be within an appropriate range. SOLUTION: The particles for a display medium, the particles constituting a display medium to be used for an information display panel comprise polymer particles which are approximately spherical, obtained by a wet method and contain a binder resin, a colorant and a copolymer of acrylic monomers and hydrocarbon monomers or a copolymer of acrylic monomers and fluorine-containing acrylic monomers. A part of or the whole monomers as a source material of the binder resin are crosslinking monomers. The polymer particle has a minute concavo-convex pattern uniformly distributed on the surface, to which minute particles are deposited. The primary particle diameter of the minute particles and the pitch in the concavo-convex pattern of the particle surface are in a relation expressed by (the primary particle diameter of the minute particles)/(the pitch of the concavo-convex pattern of the particle surface)×100=1.5 to 30.
