PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of preventing the outline of a display panel from being visually recognized while suppressing the attenuation amount of the light made incident from the display panel and attenuated by a cover member to a low level, and thus capable of preventing multiplex projection. SOLUTION: A circular polarizing plate 2 is attached to an organic EL panel 1. The circular polarizing plate 2 is constituted by bonding a panel side linear polarizing plate 21 to a quarter wave plate 22. The cover member 3 is provided leaving a space between itself and the organic EL panel 1. The cover member 3 is constituted by bonding a cover side linear polarizer 4 to a tinted panel 5. The cover member 3 is arranged in such a manner that the direction of polarization axis in the cover side linear polarizing plate 4 and the direction of polarization axis in the panel side linear polarizing plate 21 coincide with each other.
