METHOD OF MANUFACTURING POWDER CONTAINING INDIUM OXIDE AS MAIN COMPONENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of effectively manufacturing a powder containing indium oxide as a main component at a low cost from used target scrap containing indium as a raw material. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a powder containing indium oxide comprises the steps of: (a) washing the surface of target scrap containing indium with a dilute acid; (b) dissolving the washed scrap with hydrogen chloride to obtain an aqueous solution containing indium chloride; (c) adding a basic aqueous solution to the aqueous solution containing indium chloride to obtain a hydroxide containing indium; (d) washing the hydroxide containing indium; and (e) sintering the washed hydroxide containing indium.
