PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle seat reclining device capable of suppressing increase in the size of a slider while enabling smooth operation of the slider. SOLUTION: The vehicle seat reclining device is provided with a linear rail member 11 mounted on a vehicle body side in accordance with the tilting trajectory of a seat back; the slider 12 slidably fitted to the rail member 11 via a roller 27; a lock device for regulating or allowing the movement of the slider 12 with respect to the rail member 11; and a U-shaped striker connected to the slider 12. The roller 27 is formed to have a drum shape with large diameter parts 44 arranged at both ends and a small diameter part 45 arranged between the large diameter parts 44. The large diameter part 44 abuts on a recessed part 42 formed on the rail member 11 along the longitudinal direction of the rail member 11, and the small diameter part 45 abuts on a projecting part 43 formed on the slider 12 along the longitudinal direction of the rail member 11.
