Novel waterborne adhesives comprising a crosslinkable polymer, a crosslinking agent and acetaldehyde scavenger are useful in the manufacture of products exhibiting reduced acetaldehyde emission rates. Manufactured products having acetaldehyde emission rates of less than 9 mug/m<SUP>3 </SUP>may be manufactured using the adhesive of the invention.
